Please note the following access and accessibility arrangements during Holy Week services

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The Clergy, Parish Council, and Staff are committed to providing a safe and secure Holy Week at the Cathedral. Please note the following access and accessibility arrangements:

Entrance doors: During Holy Week, entry to the Cathedral will be available only at the front of the building: the 3 main Cathedral entrance doors and the 2 front basement doors. All other exterior doors will be closed for entry but will remain available as exits.

Accessible parking and entry for wheelchair users:

For parishioners who use wheelchairs, please park in the upper-level parking lot. From there you can use the parking-lot ramp to enter through the front basement doors. A handicap call-in device will be provided to open those doors. After entering the basement, follow the ramp into Father John Hall, then up the opposite ramp to the elevator to reach the main Cathedral level.

Seating: Designated wheelchair areas are reserved in the Cathedral. Please contact a parish council usher upon arrival and we will gladly escort you to those areas.

Accessible parking for more mobile handicap parishioners:

For the more agile parishioners wishing to use the Garfield-side basement doors, there is Garfield Street parking and a ramp. A handicap call-in device will also be available there, and the elevator is immediately accessible from that entry.

Main entrance:

There is handicap parking immediately in front of the Cathedral and the main Cathedral doors will remain accessible throughout the week.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please call the Cathedral Office at 202-838-1553.

The Clergy, Parish Council, and Staff wish everyone a glorious Easter celebration! Kalo Pascha!
